Blogging on my lunch break-a random post.

Hello my loyal readers.  I am feeling the urge to blog today, but I really don't have anything to show off right now.  So here are some random thoughts:
-I have almost finished my wedding jewelry.  By almost finished I mean that it is strung on the wire, I just need to add the clasps.  I haven't done that yet because I am not 100% sure if I like the design or not.
I may post pictures in a day or two, hopefully I will get some feed back about it.
-I received another cake topper order.  This one is for a topper with Charlie Brown and the little redheaded girl.  I plan on getting started on this project in the next day or two.  Hopefully I will have some pictures to show off soon.
- I am trying to think of centerpieces for my wedding.  I want something cheap, easy to make, and small (as in short).  I don't like tall centrepieces, I find that they make it difficult for people to talk across the table.

Here ends my post of random thoughts.

My name is Joani, and I have a crafting addiction.

Well, actually I have an addiction to crafting supplies.  I go to the craft store for one or two specific items, but then I get lured in by the sales, or I just go over board and say to myself this clay/beads/paper/ribbon/yarn is really nice, I'll just buy it and find a project to use it in later.
I have promised myself that I will not buy anymore craft items until I use up what I already have.

Well I have a lot of stuff to use up, so if you have suggestions, I want to hear them.
Now here are some pictures of all the craft stuff I have collected over the past several months:
All my polymer clay.  Actually this isn't all of my polymer clay, there was a pack that I missed when I took the picture.  I also have several containters full of partial packs leftover from past projects.

My bead collection.
My paper collection.

My collection of yarn that I am not sure what to do with.

I seriously need to stop buying stuff just because it is cheap and/or pretty.  From now on I promise to only buy craft supplies if I have a specific purpose for them... oh who am I kidding.  I know I will continue to buy more craft stuff than I really need.

Don't you judge me, it's an illness.

Forgot this one in my last blog post.

I forgot to show off this little keepsake box in my last post.

This box is very similar to this keepsake box (as seen in my previous post)

Both keepsake boxes were very easy to make.  Both started out as unpainted wood boxes from the dollar store.  The yellow one was simply painted inside and out with acrylic paint and then the flower was added to the top.  The flower came from the scrapbook section of the dollar store.
The teal one (the color is a little off in the pictures) was painted inside and out.  I then added the ribbon around the bottom piece and then handpainted the design on top, and added the dots around the edge of the top.
The dollar store it this crafter's best friend.  My favorite dollar store has a large selection of unpainted wood boxes, and paints.  I also love their scrapbook supplies.  I also use dollar store tupperware for storage (for beads, polymer clay etc.)
